Facts about the 1st Symposium in Umeå 2010:
- 101 persons from 11 countries and four continents participated in the symposium.
- 32 talks and 23 posters were presented during the symposium.
- Best Poster Award was granted to Dr. Michael Posthumus from the University
of Cape Town, South Africa, for the contribution "A potential link between
Achilles tendinopathy risk and endurance running ability"
- The Vice-chancellor of Umeå University and the Mayor of the City of Umeå
attended the Symposium Gala Dinner.
- The symposium closed with the public PhD-thesis defence of
Dr. Gustav Andersson, Umeå University
