Department of Integrative Medical Biology (IMB)
The Department of Integrative Medical Biology (IMB) was founded in January 1999 by combining the previous Departments of Anatomy, Histology & Cell Biology and Physiology.
Our research is mainly in the areas of neurobiology, myology and diabetes as well as endocytosis and exocytosis.
Basic education in Anatomy, Cell Biology, Physiology and Histology is given mainly to medical, dental, biomedical, nursing, logopedics and cognitive science students.
The Department has about 90 employees and visiting scientists.
IMB is one of thirteen Departments within the Faculty of Medicine.
